Types of Malocclusion

What Causes Malocclusion?

There are some risk factors for malocclusion, but most cases are caused by genetic factors, abnormal tooth growth, as the result of an injury, or if you’ve had dental treatments such as a crown, bridge, filling, or tooth extraction. When your jaws aren’t aligned correctly, it means your neck and jaw never relax completely. A continually tense jaw and neck can lead to severe headaches, tooth pain, and neck pain.
